The AEP Annual Course

The Annual Course is the Association's 'showcase' event of the year. It aims to have a topical but broad theme, with the keynote speakers and numerous seminar and workshop presenters encouraged to gear their material to that theme. It provides an ideal forum for contributors and participants alike to share developments and innovations in the theory and practice of educational psychology, as well as an unparalleled opportunity for continuing professional development. Although the course content  is largely aimed at the interests of educational psychologists, professionals from other disciplines related to psychology and/or education will be sure to find plenty of relevance to them, including the numerous stands and displays by publishers and other organisations.

Needless to say, there is always ample scope for informal 'networking' and socialising during the three days of the course, which is traditionally held in October / November from Thursday to Saturday. The majority of delegates attend the whole course on a residential basis, but day attendance is usually possible.  Applications from non-members are always welcome.

Apart from the Association's Annual Course organised by the National Executive Committee, occasional courses and 'study days' are also organised by the Association's branches.
