Representatives from the Association of Educational Psychologists (AEP), the (BPS) Division of Educational and Child Psychologists (DECP), the National Association of Principal Educational Psychologists (NAPEPwere pleased to meet with the Minister for Children and Families, Vicky Ford MP, last week.

The meeting was arranged to discuss a range of issues related to the SEND Review which is expected to be published in Spring 2021 and examine the role of Educational Psychologists within this. The discussion was very constructive and focussed on the need for early intervention for CYP of all ages, the effective use of SEN funding within mainstream schools and workforce capacity issues. The group look forward to working closely with the Minister and the Department of Education to ensure all children and young people with SEND receive the support they need.
