“Recovery, re-introduction and return – supporting everyone to enjoy a safe, successful and healthy return into school settings post absences caused by unprecedented events”

The critical debate continues about the proposals for schools in England to begin to admit more children into their classrooms from June 1st. On behalf of the AEP we have joined with others to express concern that the safe return to school for all children and adults involved raises a number of complex issues which need to be addressed during the coming weeks and months.

We are in discussion with another organisation to work together as partners to produce materials (possibly a handbook with accompanying resources for schools and parents, including online CPD modules and webinars) with the above working title. We are seeking EPs or an EP service to work with us to shape the materials and contribute to writing the required content – we estimate that we would need to commission the equivalent of approximately 20 days’ work during late May to June 2020.

If you are interested in this work then please email vanessa@aep.org.uk with an expression of interest- use “Recovery, re-introduction and return” in the subject title line - by noon on Thursday May 21st, confirming that you can provide the time required, examples of materials that you have already produced, a brief outline (250 words) of what approach you might suggest in helping to develop the content and contact details.
