AEP delegation raises key education issues at TUC Congress
President Lisa O’Connor and General Secretary Donna Wiggett are representing the AEP at the 158th Trades Union Congress in Brighton. This year's theme, 'Unity Works', focused on the power of collective collaboration to strengthen workplace rights, fair pay, and support for professions across the country.
AEP meets with new Welsh Minister for Education & Welsh Language
On Wednesday 12 August, Rachel Jones, AEP Region 9 (Wales/Cymru) rep and Dewi Hughes, Chair of the Professional Policies Subcommittee, met with Anna Brychan, Welsh Minister for Education and the Welsh Language. This meeting was a valuable opportunity to talk about some of the issues currently affecting children and young people across Wales, and to share the experiences and views of educational psychologists.

Exam results published across England, Wales and Northern Ireland
On Thursday, GCSE exam results were published across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. This follows the release of A level and AS level results last week. AEP General Secretary, Donna Wiggett commented: “Congratulations to all those young people receiving exam results. EPs work with young people every day and recognise the hard work, commitment and resilience needed to complete these exams. We also acknowledge the dedication of teachers and the wider education workforce who have supported young people throughout their education.”
