Darlington Educational Psychology Service is a highly regarded, creative and forward-thinking team of Educational Psychologists. We are excited at the prospect of you coming to join us at such an exciting time for the profession, as we begin to further strengthen capacity in the service in order to develop an innovative and effective Experts at Hand offer.
Alongside new models of working in response to educational reforms, you’ll play a key role in delivery of our thriving traded service. Our schools value psychology and embrace working collaboratively with their EPs through consultation and supervision, professional development workshops, individual assessment, interventions and the development of specialist guidance and resources. As you’ll expect, you’ll also be writing high quality statutory advice for the Local Authority and supporting schools and parents / carers further to the statutory process to implement provision and enable the best outcomes for children and young people. There are ample opportunities to be involved in EPS projects and wider strategic initiatives in the LA, all focused on promoting inclusion through relational practices and evidence-based approaches.
You’ll have access to professional supervision as well as the support of the team, who you’ll see really regularly at our office base. Whilst you might sometimes work from home, you’ll be an EP that is seeking the proximity of a team and really values the support, learning and enjoyment that working together in person brings.
You’ll be proactive, organised and keen to get to grips with new challenges and ideas. Your written and verbal communication skills will be excellent, and you’ll be comfortable with high expectations and autonomy.
