Join us in Leicester City’s forward-thinking Educational Psychology Service at a pivotal time of SEND transformation and inclusion reform. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educational Psychologist to shape developments, lead innovative practice and make a lasting difference for children, young people and families across our diverse city.
In your role as Specialist Senior EP (Transformation for Inclusion) you will provide a specialist educational psychology service, working alongside a range of partners, to support developments for the inclusion of children and young people in Alternative Provision, Internal Alternative Provision, Resource Bases, Post 16 and Out of City placements for Leicester City Council. Your work will include complex casework to support inclusion in these provisions.
What you’ll be doing
You will develop the specialist role for Transformation for Inclusion, across a range of specialist provisions and mainstream settings, building strong relationships with colleagues and partners.
You will have opportunities to develop evidence based practices through Collaborative Action Research projects and contribute to LA strategic initiatives.
Alongside your work in specialist settings, you will support stability and inclusion within mainstream schools and settings through school systems level and psychological assessment and intervention.
You will provide leadership as the Specialist Senior EP (Transformation for Inclusion) which includes management, supervision and development of Educational Psychologists and the promotion of reflective practice.

What you’ll need
We are looking for an experienced, reflective and values-driven Educational Psychologist who can demonstrate leadership and high-quality practice.
You will have considerable experience working with children who need alternative pathways to successfully access and complete their education, including those with neurodivergence and social and emotional needs. You will have strong interpersonal skills to quickly build relationships with families and those around them.
Successful applicants will be able to evidence a sound knowledge and commitment to using psychology for effective inclusion and demonstrate experience of leading and playing an active role in local authority or school development projects.
You will be able to lead and work well within multi-professional teams, as well as showing autonomy in work planning and management.
Applicants must be professionally qualified and registered with the HCPC.

Salary: Soulbury Senior and Principal EP Scale B Points 2 to 5
Plus (up to) 3 additional points for SPA.
Role: Full Time / 37 Hours Per Week / Permanent
This is a full time post 37 hours per week to include Specialist Senior EP 0.6FTE and link school work 0.4FTE.
