We are excited to be recruiting a Senior Educational Psychologist focused on Tribunals and Critical Incidents to support Havering’s dynamic and expanding Educational Psychology Service.

This role will suit an experienced EP with a strong interest in tribunals and critical incident response. You will oversee the service’s tribunal activity, ensuring high‑quality psychological input across cases. This includes providing guidance, supervision and professional support to EPs undertaking tribunal assessments and reports, as well as coordinating the planning and commissioning of EP work related to tribunals. You will also lead the coordination of the team’s response to critical incidents in schools, ensuring timely, consistent and psychologically informed support.

You’ll join our Senior Leadership Team and work closely with the Principal EP to support the smooth and effective running of the service, helping to ensure we maintain high standards, respond flexibly to need, and nurture a strong team culture.

Havering EPS is a creative and vibrant service that sits within the wider SEND Service. We value working collaboratively with professionals across education, health and care, and promote the distinct psychological contribution of EPs at every level.

Senior EPs also:

  • Line manage other EPs and/or TEPs
  • Contribute to borough-wide training and intervention projects
  • Lead and support service innovation and improvement
  • Hold their own patch of schools, offering statutory and non-statutory work

Salary: Soulbury EP B Scale 7-10*, plus Outer London Allowance
Plus up to 3 SPA points (previously awarded SPAs will be honoured)
