Are you passionate about neuro-affirming practice, inclusion and improving outcomes for children and young people?

We are looking for an innovative and committed Specialist Educational Psychologist (Neuro-affirming Practice) to join our new Experts at Hand programme. This exciting role combines specialist educational psychology practice with strategic leadership, supporting schools, settings and partners to develop neuro-affirming, inclusive approaches across Nottinghamshire.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development of neuro-affirming practice across schools, settings and services.
  • Provide specialist consultation, advice and intervention to support neurodivergent children and young people.
  • Work alongside Assistant Educational Psychologists, schools, settings and partner agencies to build capacity and strengthen inclusive practice.
  • Contribute to strategic SEND developments and county-wide improvement initiatives.

Role dimensions:

  • Work closely with a range of education, health and care partners.
  • Maintain strong links with the Educational Psychology Service.
  • Benefit from ongoing professional supervision, peer support and CPD opportunities.
  • Lead and influence practice while remaining connected to the wider EP profession.
  • Help shape the future direction of SEND inclusion across the county.

About you
You will be an HCPC-registered Educational Psychologist:

  • A strong commitment to inclusion, social justice and neuro-affirming practice.
  • Excellent consultation and partnership-working skills.
  • The ability to apply psychology at individual, group and organisational levels.

Salary: Soulbury A point 2-7 with an additional increment for the role (and up to 3 SPA points)

Contract: Fixed Term (12 Months)
Full Time (37 hours)

Work Base: County Hall, West Bridgford, NG7 2QP (Hybrid)
