Sanctuary Personnel is exclusively recruiting for an Educational Psychologist or Senior Educational Psychologist to join an expanding and forward-thinking Educational Psychology Service in Ilford, London.

This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a qualified Educational Psychologist, or candidates currently completing their Doctorate in Educational Psychology, to make a meaningful impact on children, young people, families and education settings while contributing to innovative approaches across SEND, inclusion, early intervention and psychological practice.

The successful candidate will join a supportive service where Educational Psychologists are valued for their expertise in consultation, assessment, intervention and wider system change. Senior candidates will have the opportunity to influence service development, lead specialist areas and support the development of colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist psychological advice, assessment and consultation across education settings
  • Complete statutory and non-statutory educational psychology assessments
  • Support children, young people, families and professionals with complex SEND needs
  • Promote inclusive practice, early intervention and evidence-based psychological approaches
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes
  • Contribute to service improvement, policy development and innovative models of delivery
  • Support specialist projects, including SEMH, emotional wellbeing and Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA)
  • Support and develop Assistant Educational Psychologists where appropriate

About you:
You will be an Educational Psychologist or trainee Educational Psychologist with:

  • HCPC registration as an Educational Psychologist, or eligibility to register upon completion of training
  • A recognised qualification in Educational Psychology or currently be completing a Doctorate in Educational Psychology
  • Experience providing psychological advice, assessment and support within educational settings
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, assessment and intervention
  • Excellent consultation and communication skills
  • A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people

Senior candidates will have the opportunity to join the Senior Leadership Team, lead specialist areas such as emotional wellbeing and SEMH, coordinate initiatives including the ELSA programme, and help shape the future direction of Educational Psychology services.
