Staffordshire County Council - Educational Psychologist

Apply Here

We’re excited to welcome enthusiastic and motivated Educational Psychologists to our creative, friendly and supportive service. Following several valued colleagues’ retirements, we have opportunities for new team members to help shape the future of educational psychology in Staffordshire.

Why Join Staffordshire EPS?

• Children and families first: Our practice is driven by improving outcomes for children and families. We work systemically with schools, families and partners so support is holistic, inclusive and impactful.

• Innovative practice: We’re central to Staffordshire’s new Enhanced Assess–Plan–Do–Review (EAPDR) pathway, using psychology in preventative, collaborative and creative ways—including MAPS, PATHS and reduced formal report writing.

• Impact at scale: Contribute to nationally recognised programmes, including our EP‑led literacy approach, school non‑attendance projects, and work with the Virtual School for care-experienced children. ELSA and district-commissioned non-attendance support are key areas of demand.

• Supportive team culture: Join a diverse, passionate team of Seniors, EPs, TEPS and Assistants who value creativity, collaboration and learning. We offer a full induction, peer supervision and a vibrant CPD offer, including two CPD weeks each year.

• Your practice matters: Whether experienced, newly qualified or qualifying in September 2026, we’ll support your development, specialisms and research interests, including progression towards SPAs.
