Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Educational Psychology Consultation Service – Educational Psychologists (x2) and Senior Educational Psychologists (x2)

Apply Here

The Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Educational Psychology Consultation Service is a visionary educational psychology service based at Kensington Town Hall in Central London. Benefitting from the experience of over 25 Educational Psychologists, trainees and support staff, we celebrate the rich variety of experience, expertise and approaches that exist within our team, and we have a strong history of embedding practice within our Consultation Practice Framework.

As a result of internal promotions within our service we are looking for committed HCPC registered Senior Educational Psychologists and Educational Psychologists to join our thriving, progressive psychology service that puts children, families and communities first. We will also welcome applications from third year Educational Psychologists in Training.

This is an exciting chance to become a member of a lively, diverse and friendly team that will provide a stimulating and supportive environment. We are a traded service and will offer a balance of different types of work within your role as well as various secondment opportunities. We will provide ongoing training and development opportunities (plus our full support to maintain your research interests), peer support and reflective supervision and we also have a number of specialist interest and working groups to support our practice (such as Culturally Inclusive Practice, Exploring and Understanding Gender, Community Psychology, Use of AI in education and EBSNA) as well as strong university links.

EPs in WKC EPCS provide a high quality applied educational psychology consultation service across a range of educational, community and care settings (including early years, primary, secondary, post-16, Virtual School and Youth Justice Service) working collaboratively with a wide range of practitioners, parents/carers and children, young people and adults to contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who is calm under pressure and confident managing a varied workload. You will be committed to making a difference to the achievement and wellbeing of children and young people, plus their families and schools. Specifically, you will be committed to providing opportunities for children and families from a range of communities and backgrounds. You will bring curiosity, flexibility and a willingness to keep learning as part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Work-life balance is important to us and have a very equitable deployment model across the team. We also welcome part-time applications and flexible working. Whether you’re newly qualified or looking for a new challenge, this is a great place to make a difference.

You will be employed by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea but will work across both Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster City Council – helping to bring joined-up, consistent support to our schools, families and communities.

We are committed to promoting equality and respecting diversity and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
