Medway Educational Psychology Service is growing and developing as we continue to strengthen our contribution to inclusion, early intervention and the implementation of SEND reforms. Our service applies psychology at individual, group and systems levels, working collaboratively with children and young people aged 0–25, families, schools and multi-agency partners to improve outcomes and promote inclusion. Educational Psychologist
As an Educational Psychologist, you will play a key role in supporting children and young people to achieve positive educational, emotional and developmental outcomes. Working collaboratively with families, schools and partner agencies, you will provide consultation, assessment, intervention and therapeutic support. You will contribute psychological advice for Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments, promote inclusive and solution-focused practice, and support early intervention through systemic approaches. The role also includes delivering training, contributing to service development, research and evaluation, and working closely with colleagues across SEND, Inclusion, Health and Social Care to improve outcomes across Medway.

Assistant Educational Psychologist
As an Assistant Educational Psychologist, you will work under the supervision of qualified Educational Psychologists to support children and young people in achieving positive outcomes. The role involves contributing to consultations, observations, assessments, information gathering, interventions and written reports, while working closely with families, schools and multi-agency partners. You will assist with research, service development, training activities and evaluation projects, helping to promote inclusive and effective practice. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge of applied psychology, child development and education within a supportive professional environment, providing valuable experience for future Educational Psychology training.

Who We Are Looking For

• Professionally qualified and HCPC-registered Educational Psychologists.
• Trainee Educational Psychologists in their final year of training (for EP posts) who are expecting to have their registration confirmed following completion of their recognised training course.
• Psychology graduates aspiring to pursue a career in Educational Psychology through the Assistant EP role.
