The Department for Education has announced that Minister for School Standards, Georgia Gould is hosting a series of events, run in partnership with the Council for Disabled Children, covering the department’s five principles of reform. This will provide an opportunity for parents, families and those working in the sector to share their views and ideas.

The themes of engagement include:

  • Early intervention
  • Local provision
  • Fairness, so every school has the resources and capability to meet changing needs
  • Effective practice, grounded in evidence
  • Shared working between education, health and care services in partnership with local government, families, teachers, experts & representative bodies

Attendees are invited to share their views on a range of proposals. The government has highlighted that, alongside these events, urgent work will continue to improve the current system for children.
