London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham - Maingrade Educational Psychologist

Apply Here

Hammersmith and Fulham EPS are looking for a creative and enthusiastic EPs to join our team here in West London. We are a small, supportive and sociable team based in central west London with a whole range of leisure, hospitality and retail therapy facilities right on our doorstep.

We are a consultation-based service with a high level of commissioned time in our schools, enabling a broad range of creative, systemic and preventative work as well as project work within the borough.  EPs are encouraged to develop in their areas of professional interest and all team members have the opportunity to train in Video Interaction Guidance, psychological supervision and SCERTS.

These new EP posts represent additional capacity to support the development and delivery of our ‘Experts at Hand’ offer.

We currently have a well-established ELSA programme (with MELSA planned for next year) and many of our EPs provide ELSA supervision and training. We have commissioned posts in the Virtual School, Youth Justice and Early Years Inclusion services. We also provide regular supervision groups for our local SENCos.

With the additional posts we will have great scope to extend the range of capacity building activities we can offer schools, as well as working alongside colleagues in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver ‘targeted plus’ support.

As a service, we are very supportive of TEPs and are currently supporting 4 trainees in Years 2 and 3. We have established strong links with the London courses.

We particularly welcome applications from members of minoritised communities as we continue to build an EPS team that reflects the diversity of the population we are working with.

Applicants must be professionally qualified educational psychologists and registered with the HCPC, or be in their final year of training on a professional Educational Psychology Doctoral programme. An enhanced DBS Check is required for this role.

To apply, please follow the link to the LBHF jobs portal and complete the required information.

Please ALSO send a brief CV and a cover letter outlining your skills, experience and interests to our PEP Erik.Dwyer@lbhf.gov.uk

For an information conversation about the position prior to application, please contact SEPs Tom.Lloyd@lbhf.gov.uk or Shona.Landon@lbhf.gov.uk

To the best of our knowledge, the adverts on this website are ‘legal, decent, honest and truthful’. Except where otherwise stated, all posts carry a salary that is at or above the nationally agreed Soulbury minimum for the post. Members should assure themselves that they are satisfied with the terms and conditions offered. Members are advised to consider fully the implications of successful applications particularly in relation to posts which would entail a move outside the UK, where legislation and cultural issues in other countries should be considered in relation to their personal circumstances. “From time to time, the AEP will carry adverts for agencies supplying EPs to local authorities. Where this is the case, we will have secured agreement from the agency that they will not supply EPs to those authorities we remain in dispute with.
