We welcome creative and engaging psychologists to join us in the heart of London’s busy East End where our friendly and innovative team is expanding! LBTH EPS is a large and well-regarded service comprising of both qualified and trainee EPs. Whether you are starting your career or are considering new challenges, we look forward to hearing from you. We happily accept applications from those completing training in August 2027. 

No two days are the same at LBTH and we are fortunate to work in various provisions, including post-16 and alternative settings, delivering traded and project work alongside statutory assessments. Schools value our input and choose to purchase additional time from us which is delivered by the link EP in each school. We offer varied psychological services which evolve through consultation with our service users. 

At present this includes: 

  • Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA) programme
  • Mediated Learning Support Assistant (MELSA) programme
  • Parent and carer support through early years hubs
  • Ongoing evaluation and research opportunities to improve outcomes for children and young people
  • Group supervision with Youth Offending Team and Parental Engagement Team
  • Virtual School support
  • Elective Home Education involvement
  • Crisis support

Requirements
You must be a registered educational psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or expect to be upon completion of training. 

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) helps employers make safer recruitment decisions and prevent unsuitable people from working with vulnerable groups, including children. It replaces the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA).

Hours of work: 35 hours per week (Part time and Full time available)
