Educational Psychologist required for Assessment Centre in New Giza, Cairo, Egypt 

Moon Hall is opening a brand new Assessment and Learning Centre in New Giza, Cairo and are looking for a full time Educational Psychologist from September 2025. 

This ground breaking collaboration between New Era Education and Moon Hall School will establish a pioneering partnership in the education sector. Our joint vision places children and their needs at the core of this unique provision.

Moon Hall has shown its ability to positively influence student outcomes through customised programs that help children excel.                                            

The new initiative will serve children with Special Educational Needs and those who could benefit from individualised support to boost their academic performance.

Moon Hall Learning Centre in New Giza is a pioneering facility dedicated to supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to conduct diagnostic assessments and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

Role Overview
The Educational Psychologist will play a crucial role in our specialist Centre, conducting diagnostic assessments for children and contributing to the holistic support of individuals with suspected SEN. As part of our professional team, you will report to the Head of Centre and collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive guidance and support to families. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments for children visiting the specialist Centre
  2. Interpret and analyse assessment results to identify specific learning needs and challenges
  3. Develop detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and intervention strategies
  4. Collaborate with other professionals in the team to create integrated support plans
  5. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to families and educators
  6. Contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  7. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss cases and coordinate interventions
  8. Stay current with the latest research and best practices in educational psychology and SEN
  9. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and interventions
  10. Contribute to the Centre's ongoing development and improvement initiatives 

Job Description 

  1. Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Educational Psychology from an accredited institution
  2. Valid license to practice as an Educational Psychologist – HCPC registered
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting diagnostic assessments for children with SEN
  4. Extensive knowledge of a wide range of psychometric assessment tools and their interpretation
  5. Proven experience in working with children with diverse learning needs
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  8. Proficiency in using technology for assessments, report writing, and data management
  9. Commitment to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards
  10. Clean criminal record and ability to pass rigorous safeguarding checks and DBS checks 

Desirable Criteria

  1. Additional qualifications in related fields (e.g., Special Education, Child Development)
  2. Experience working in international or multicultural educational settings
  3. Knowledge of the Egyptian educational system and local SEN landscape
  4. Proficiency in Arabic or other relevant languages
  5. Publications or research experience in the field of educational psychology or SEN
  6. Experience in developing and delivering training programs for educators and parents

Requirements: 

  1. Provide a minimum of three professional references
  2. Submit to comprehensive background checks and safeguarding verifications
  3. Provide proof of relevant qualifications and licensure
  4. Demonstrate a clear understanding of child protection policies and procedures
