This is an exciting time to join Oxfordshire Educational Psychology Service. We are playing a central role in developing the Experts at Hand approach and reshaping how psychological support is delivered across Oxfordshire with multidisciplinary partners.
We are growing our team and welcome applications for two distinct career opportunities: Educational Psychologist and Senior Specialist Educational Psychologist. Educational Psychologist (Soulbury A (4-9) £53,233-£63,943 per annum plus up to 3 SPAs. Newly qualified EPs will start on point 5).
You will work directly with children and young people, families and education settings, applying psychological theory and evidence-informed practice to create meaningful change. You will provide consultation, assessment, intervention, training and statutory SEND work, helping settings and families identify practical approaches that improve learning, wellbeing, engagement and inclusion. Senior Specialist Educational Psychologist (Soulbury B (3-6) £61,963 - £71,364 with up to 3 SPAs).
You will combine high-quality applied psychology with leadership through specialist expertise. Rather than leading through line management, you will influence practice through innovation, strategic development and system-wide impact, while remaining committed to consultation, assessment, intervention, training and statutory SEND work. We are looking for 5 Senior Specialist Educational Psychologists. Closing date: 24th October. Interviews: 4th November.
For both roles, you will:
Be a reflective practitioner, who is committed to professional development.
For the Senior Specialist role, you will also bring substantial post-qualification experience, specialist expertise and experience of leading projects, service developments or strategic initiatives and working with key partners and stakeholders. You will be confident influencing practice at child, family, setting, organisational and system levels. You will likely have experience of supervising trainee EPs or assistant EPs.
An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.
