This year's local reps conference was held in-person in Durham on 11 and 12 June.
As always, this was an engaging and inspiring two days with reps from across the country in attendance.
This year's conference included a welcome from David Collingwood, AEP President, an Introduction to new AEP staff - Dominique Sofflet (National Officer for Employment) & Dionne Thompson (Organiser) who will work closely with reps.
There was also plenty of time to network and socialise as well as learn!
We heard from a range of speakers and covered many topics including:
The Role of a Local Rep
Facility Time
World Café activity to discuss important professional and wider issues
Negotiation Skills
Recruiting and Organising
AEP's Website and Digital Development
Equality in the Trade Union movement
New Sexual Harassment Duty
