Educational Psychologist
Box Psychology is a well-established company in the private sector, specialising in providing independent assessments and tribunal reports as expert witnesses. We are looking to expand our team and so there are part time and full-time roles available. We are a small and supportive team, where innovation and initiative are encouraged. We like to think of our management style as ‘on tap, not on top’, meaning support is there whenever asked for but you shouldn’t feel micromanaged.
The Role
As an Educational Psychologist at Box Psychology, you will primarily conduct one-off assessments and reports to support EHCP applications or appeals against contested EHCP’s. This involves in-person visits to schools and the occasional home assessment. We offer external and in-house training, including specific training on EHCP tribunals and offer 1-1 coaching through the first few reports. Our EP’s primarily work from home, traveling to varied destinations throughout the UK (mostly London, and South England) to conduct their assessments, before heading home to write-up their report.
Caseloads are light, allowing the freedom to focus all attention on providing the best service possible for clients. Furthermore, your recommendations will be based purely on your professional opinion. With Box psychology we respect your psychological views, and the child always comes first.
