The Family Treatment Service is a private mental health practice in Wimbledon Village, operating on a not-for-profit basis to provide high-quality, individualised care.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and dynamic Educational Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team and play a key role in developing our barriers to learning service, as well as consultation, assessment, therapeutic interventions, supervision of educational staff and training.

The role involves acting as a main point of contact for our schools, clients and their parents and helping to develop and improve our service, whilst continuing to undertake clinical work delivering individual and group based therapeutic interventions.

Job Description;

  • To act as the first and main point of contact for clients accessing our service - using clinical knowledge to triage patients and screen referrals, obtaining any clarifying information and coordinating assessments and feedback.
  • To support the delivery of evidence-based interventions for clients by our clinicians, including assessments, screening and overseeing cases.
  • To assist in the coordination and running of the service including recruitment of associates, team meetings and providing training opportunities to educational psychologists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.
  • To work with all team members, clinical and administrative, to improve care and promote the work of the clinic. This may include attending events and providing copy for our website, social media and other marketing material.
  • Build strong partnerships and collaborate with schools, families, and other service providers in Wimbledon and the surrounding areas.

We are looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience as a qualified and HCPC registered Educational Psychologist.
  • Excellent communication skills, including a clear and confident telephone manner.
  • The ability to prioritise, be able to manage their own workload and diary, and take initiative over tasks and service management.

Educational Support Service Lead- Permanent full time role

£65,000- £75,000 per annum depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week 

 

Associate Educational Psychologists- self employed work in our clinic.

We are also recruiting Educational Psychologists who can offer sessions on a self employed basis. This work is within our clinic alongside a multidisciplinary team.
