London Borough of Lambeth - Educational Psychologists

Apply Here

Lambeth EPS are inviting applications from resourceful and reflective Educational Psychologists to join our hard-working, friendly and supportive team as we expand our traded service and Experts at Hand offer for Lambeth schools, settings and Further Education colleges.

We offer the security and benefits of working within a local government department, alongside generous support for professional development and career progression.  In addition to a generic EP role, successful candidates will have opportunities to develop an area of interest and to work alongside a range of other teams within Children’s Services.  These include our newly established Area SENCOs, our Autism, Sensory, Virtual School, Behaviour Support and Early Years teams, Mental Health Support Team and Youth Justice Service.  We value the promotion of relational practice, both with schools and within our team.

We have a history of strong links with Doctoral training courses and commitment to supporting Trainee Educational Psychologists on work placements. Experienced colleagues will have opportunities to develop their supervision skills through accredited supervision training and supervision of Trainee Educational Psychologists.

We work within the framework of a consultation model of service delivery with a strong emphasis on systems, early intervention and person-centred thinking, partnership and collaboration.  We welcome and value the diverse range of knowledge, skills, experience and expertise that new colleagues can contribute to our practice and team development.

Successful candidates will benefit from:

  • A supportive senior leadership team committed to the wellbeing of staff, promoting an inclusive working environment, work-life balance and strong commitment to anti-racism.
  • Dedicated administrative support.
  • A whole-service CPD programme, including up to £1000 annually for individual CPD.
  • Protected time for clinical supervision in addition to line management support.
  • Excellent transport links
  • Remote/hybrid working and IT equipment (EPS will be trialling lightweight 4G enabled touch screen devices with handwriting software).
  • Assistance with HCPC fees.

We would like to invite applicants who:

  • Want to work within the context of a consultation model of service delivery.
  • Enjoy the challenge of applying psychology creatively in a range of settings.
  • Welcome opportunities to reflect on and develop their practice.
  • Share our passion and commitment to improving the educational and wellbeing outcomes for the children and young people in Lambeth.
  • Value working relationships with colleagues within the team, across Children’s Services and within settings.
  • Are committed to person-centred approaches
  • Share our service commitment to anti-racist practice.
