An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as an Academic and Professional Tutor with the Educational Psychology Training Programme at the University of Nottingham.

Academic and Professional Tutors contribute to all aspects of professional training including course management and development; module planning and delivery; tutorials and supervision of practice placements and research projects; and assessment of trainee performance. 

The Nottingham programme is part of the School of Psychology with a reputation for high quality teaching and world leading research, and an established reputation for training educational psychologists. Successful candidates will join a collaborative, forward thinking and creative team. 

Candidates must be a fully qualified HCPC registered educational psychologists with a proven track record of effective professional practice, a good knowledge of current issues in EP training, and a demonstrable ability to perform management duties. It is also desirable for applicants to possess a Doctoral qualification in Educational Psychology.  

The successful candidate is expected to be working in a Local Authority (or equivalent) carrying out duties as an Educational Psychologist. Applicants should discuss with their employer the feasibility of being seconded to the University for between 1 and 3 days a week. The University will reimburse employers for the appropriate proportion of a secondee’s salary, within the scale above, along with associated on-costs. At the time of interview, applicants need to demonstrate their Local Authority is willing to second them to the University. 

Seconded posts are typically offered on a part-time basis for between 1 to 3 days per week initially for up to 2 years, with the possibility of extension beyond this.
