UCL Educational Psychology Group - Developing Effective Leadership of Education Psychology Services

01/09/2025

The final presentation of this well-established 8 session programme (3 hours per week) is directed at Principal, Assistant or Deputy Principals and experienced Senior EPs who wish to review and develop their leadership skills and understanding in the fast changing environments in which services find themselves. Presented over the past 6 years (on-line since Covid) with participants from across the UK and Ireland the course has received consistently high feedback regarding increased knowledge, skills and confidence in the role.

The course leader will be Dr Roger Booker with additional contributions from those with current or previous PEP experience. There is an overarching framework of systems thinking and learning from colleague participants. Peer coaching provides opportunities to explore current dilemmas for service leadership.

The programme is an approved UCL Educational Psychology Group CPD course and a certificate of attendance is issued for evidencing CPD requirements. Please note that there will be a maximum of two people from any one service on the programme. Numbers are limited to 15 participants so early application is advised. A commitment to attending all eight sessions is necessary to facilitate effective group working.

Dates: September – November 2025

Format: The course will be delivered online.

Fee: £475.
