This year's Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held online, as part of the AEP Annual Conference, which is taking place online from 12th - 14th November. The AGM is the ‘supreme decision-making body of the Association’ - it decides how the AEP should organise and shape its future policy and direction, including initiating changes to the constitution.
The AGM is open to all AEP members to attend and member participation is vital to ensure the democratic running of the association. You can find answers to frequently asked questions about the AGM, and helpful tips on submitting a motion by following the links on this page.
If you have any queries about the AGM, then please do not hesitate to contact Association Secretary on john.drewicz@aep.org.uk
We invite members to submit motions for consideration at the AGM. If there are particular issues you wish to bring to the attention of the NEC or AEP members, or want to influence AEP policy, please propose a motion to the AGM for debate.
Motions must have a proposer and a seconder (who must be either full or trainee members of the AEP). It is expected that both the proposer and seconder will attend the AGM in order to support their motion or arrange other eligible member/s to do this on their behalf.
Motions should be submitted no later than noon on Wednesday 17th September 2025.
Please send your motions to vanessa@aep.org.uk before the deadline.
