The Educational Psychology Team works closely with colleagues across the inclusion service. The Service provides valuable contributions to the early intervention, multi-agency, parental support, school improvement and learning community roles.

Your daily routine will contribute to the LA strategically by supporting the Principal Educational Psychologist in ensuring that the Service contributes to the Corporate Aims and values of NPT Council.

Duties include:

  • Helping the LA fulfil its statutory duties in relation to the ALN Code for Wales (2021) and ALNET Act (2018).
  • To provide direct support to a number of schools/children/young people/families through a generic caseload, promoting early identification and intervention.
  • Promoting inclusion, school improvement and develop school capacity.
  • Working collaboratively with other agencies and partners, both statutory and non-statutory, to ensure the best outcomes for all.
  • Supporting children and young people’s learning and development by working, with groups of children addressing more generic and systemic issues.

Are you...

  •  Family friendly flexible working arrangements.
