Webinar: It’s all about the BASE: A flexible framework to support inclusive practice in schools

24/02/2026

This seminar, presented by Alison Carr, offers a chance for those who missed the recent AEP conference session to learn about the BASE Model of Inclusion and its practical applications for EPs.

If the SEND White Paper is published before the event, the seminar will also be updated to incorporate any new developments. The BASE acronym stands for Belonging and Relationships, Autonomy, Sense of Safety, and Equity. The BASE model is a simple, evidence-based, one-page framework developed collaboratively to guide thinking about inclusive practice in schools and related settings. This seminar will explore how Educational Psychologists can apply the BASE framework to support schools and partners to create positive, inclusive environments by making potentially small but impactful changes, encouraging proactive and preventative practices throughout school communities.
