Webinar: Experiences of School Support Staff Who Interpret in SEND Meetings and Implications for EP Practice

This webinar will share the key findings of my doctoral thesis on the experiences of bilingual support staff who interpret in SEND meetings with families and educational professionals as non-professional interpreters. 

The webinar will outline themes in participants' experiences that highlight the complexity of the interpreting role, which can be invisible to others in the room. The experiences shared raise questions about the implications of support staff interpreting in such meetings and for EP practice, where support staff are utilised.
