Public Accounts Committee report highlights critical challenges in the SEN system
The UK parliament's Public Accounts Committee has today released its report ‘Support for children and young people with special educational needs’ highlighting significant challenges in the current SEND system, describing it as at ‘crisis point’, and provided key recommendations for improvement.

Open Letter: A drastically different approach is needed to tackle SEND crisis
Today, the AEP endorse an open letter to Secretary of State, Bridget Phillipson, drafted by a grass roots movement of educational psychologists, and other leading SEND groups, has been published. In it, the issues facing education and the ways in which the new government can work towards a solution are outlined.

DfE publish research report on Educational Psychology workforce
The Department for Education has published a much anticipated research report into the system, practice and reported impact of educational psychology services in England. The report was commissioned by the DfE and undertaken by researchers at the Warwick Institute of Employment Research and Ecorys.
