Following a positive review of Derbyshire Educational Psychology Service (EPS) we are pleased to advertise two full-time-equivalent senior educational psychologist posts and at least 2 main grade educational psychologists posts. We are looking for talented colleagues to bring their enthusiasm and skills to the service and work collaboratively to deliver the service vision and mission.
Derbyshire EPs have positive, well-established relationships within the county and our professional contributions are valued by partner agencies. We offer a wide range of commissioned work and have a strong traded early intervention offer to schools.
The child-centred and holistic approach to our work ensures strong working relationships. We use listening skills, an optimistic outlook and psychological insight to problem solve and make a difference. We are valued for the impact of the high-quality casework, training, therapeutic work, systems work and research which we carry out to enable positive change and improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
We are a strong, supportive team, with professional autonomy. We use a fair, equitable, and transparent system to allocate work across the service. All EPs are given protected time to develop our service. There is a comprehensive induction process to ensure a warm welcome to all new starters with ongoing CPD and co-working opportunities, regular supervision, project work, dedicated administrative support and pay progression.
We offer flexible/ hybrid working arrangements and recognise and value the importance of building a resilient team culture, supporting staff wellbeing, and promoting cross-base working. The service is committed to championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. The service values - Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Kindness - underpin all decision making.
Senior Educational Psychologists work collaboratively within the senior leadership team alongside the Deputy Principal EP to contribute to the strategic development of the service. SEPs provide line management and supervision to EPs with different levels of experience.

Where this is the case, we will have secured agreement from the agency that they will not supply EPs to those authorities we remain in dispute with.
