PsyVIC group for EPs with a special interest in vision impairment and blindness.
The next meeting of the PsyVIC group will be on Wednesday 22nd October from 1 to 4pm online via Zoom.
PsyVIC is a group of EPs with a special interest in vision impairment and blindness. The group has existed since the mid-1980s, and meetings are open to all EPs whether they have a specific role in their service in relation to sensory impairment, are linked to a VI specialist school, base or unit, have developed a specific interest in the area, or just currently have some ongoing relevant casework.
The first part of the meeting will focus on sharing any news, information about resources or other training opportunities, of sharing current or recent casework, as well as future PsyVIC meetings and activities. For the second half of the meeting, Martina Finessi (PhD student, Anglia Ruskin University) will talk to us about the Cascade Project ( caregiver-led intervention programme to enhance creativity, social interaction, communication and spatial awareness in 6–12-year-olds with congenital visual impairments) followed by questions/discussion.
If you are interested in attending, please e-mail Simon Ungar at simon.ungar@richmondandwandsworth.gov.uk to be added to the mailing list for notification.
